In the Installation at Ocular Lab, I was interested in looking at the fragility of a space, in particular a space that would have been a robust centre of the surrounding community, the Corner Store. To those who frequented it, it would have seemed that it would never outlive its function, but, as time has passed, its fragile usefulness expired. The work was about that experience of fragility, where the viewer has a physical, direct experience of being a participant in the destruction.
