Untitled Situation

The aim of this project is for three artists to produce work in response to non-art events (the "situations") that are coordinated by each artist for the others to negotiate. The purpose is to test the resilience of the artists' studio practices in the face of alien demands, and to examine the way potent, externally imposed factors might affect their work.

"Untitled Situation" at Ocular Lab Inc represents the first step toward materialising this venture. It is both a test and an experiment, the results of which are unpredictable. The primary link between the three artists' work is drawing, a tool that facilitates immediate action and response, even as it lends itself to nutting out complex aesthetic "situations".
