'souvenirs of the last century'

The cabinet of unnatural history explores a series of propositions
concerned with contemporary ecological issues and the problematisationof collecting and archiving natural and ethnographic objects. First shown as a work in progress in 2009 as part of Brunswick West
Sculpture Triennial. A vast collection of objects made of natural
materials sourced from op shops and trash markets retrieved and
recontexturalised as a sort of record / archive of lost diversity both
natural and cultural. Part one : ‘from the forest’.
